Almost every morning, Gianni and his team have with the massive task of opening up the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel Join him at 6:00 a.m. on his morning routine and have the chanche to hear the sounds of the ancient locks turning as you hold the keys, and see the historic rooms go from dark to light as you flick the switch. As you explore, you can listen to Gianni’s experiences and anecdotes of his time as head clavigero. In the calmness of dawn, you’ll have the chance to visit the upper galleries, the Pio Clementino museum and Raphael’s rooms. At 07:00 a.m. you will open the Sistine Chapel. After your tour, head to the Cortile della Pigna to have a delicious American breakfast at around 07:30 a.m.

WHAT TO KNOW

A dress code is required to enter places of worship and selected museums. No shorts or sleeveless tops allowed. Knees and shoulders must be covered for both men and women. You may be refused the entrance if you fail to comply with these dress requirements. The tour is not wheelchair accessibile and no wheelchairs are allowed even foldable ones.
