Discover the oldest European public collection of antiquities created by Pope Sixtus IV at the end of the 15th century. This Museum will help you understand the old Roman history. The tour will begin with the magnificent Capitoline Square that was designed by Michelangelo. Take the chance to see the symbol of Rome, the “She Wolf”, before entering the Marcus Aurelius Exedra. You can admire the bronze statue of Marcus Aurelius as well as the archaeological ruins of the ancient Capitoline Temple of Jupiter before taking in the incredible views over the Roman Forum from the museum.
