Enjoy an exciting private tour at first light, before the crowds arrive, through art and religion in one of the world’s most magnificent basilicas. The private tour includes entry to the Loggia of Blessings, the Hall of the Popes, and Gian Lorenzo Bernini’s staircase. Inside the basilica you will see the Chapel of St. Michael where there are fragments of frescoes by Piero della Francesca, Pauline Chapel and the Sistine Chapel. You will also have the opportunity to access the excavations and see the wonderful underground structures from the Roamna era consisting of the remains of a bathhouse where frescoes, aedicules and an early example of a Roman agricultural calendar are visible.
